The Lille Opera Choir

Directed by Yves Parmentier

A professional lyric choir in Nord-Pas de Calais since 2003

The Lille Opera Choir was founded in December 2003, with the reopening of the Opera. Directed by Yves Parmentier, it is composed of 26 to 36 professional singers, most of them living in the region. The Lille Opera Choir’s role is to participate in the lyric productions of the Opera (Rigoletto, Le nozze di Figaro, La Périchole, Carmen, The Elixir of Love, Macbeth…), and also to give concerts on tour and at the Lille Opera House, within the framework of the Wednesday Concerts at 6 p.m. season. The quality of the Lille Opera Choir has been broadly acknowledged by professionals and the press. This is largely thanks to the talent and experience of Yves Parmentier, who regularly participates in numerous lyric productions and directs several professional choirs
